In the latest episode of the West Ham Way Podcast (March 4, 23:03pm), reliable West Ham United insider ExWHUemployee has revealed that the clubs have concerns over Pablo Fornals.

What did he say?

The Irons signed the Spaniard for £24m last summer, but he has only started 14 of the 26 Premier League matches that he has been available for this term, and he failed to make the squad against Manchester City last month at all.

However, he played the full 90 minutes in the 3-1 win against Southampton last weekend, assisting twice, and looks to have potentially forced his way into David Moyes’ starting XI.

Speaking about the 24-year-old, ExWHUemployee said (10:20): “Moyes has realised Fornals contributes more to West Ham than [Manuel] Lanzini does.”

When host Dave Walker revealed his worries over Fornals’ physique in the English top-flight, Ex added: “That’s actually a concern of the club as well. That is maybe why Moyes didn’t play him for a while, because that was felt. Maybe he has bulked up in training.”

Big few months ahead

The main thing for Fornals now is to establish himself in one position in Moyes’ team.

According to those games where Transfermarkt has been recorded his position, he has played on the left and right of midfield, as well as in both a central and attacking midfield role.
